The glossary lets you define how specific terms should be translated in each language. This is ideal for:
The AI will use your glossary terms when translating, ensuring they always appear exactly as you've defined them.
Some terms should never be translated — they should appear in the original language everywhere. Common examples:
DNT terms apply globally across all target languages. The AI will preserve these terms exactly as-is in every translation.
During a full sync, Lingomatic's terminology scout compares repeated source phrases with translations already published or imported from Shopify. High-confidence decisions appear in Learned from your store, grouped by term and language.
Use the filters to review learned terms. You can approve a suggestion into the glossary or do-not-translate list, ignore a suggestion, or remove a learned term. Active learned terms guide future translations even before you approve them.
On the Do Not Translate tab, namespace rules let you exclude all metafields owned by an app or data source. Known review and page-builder namespaces are skipped by default; you can explicitly include any default or exclude another namespace. See Content Types for the default list.
