1. Landing Page (lingomatic.io)

Our landing page at lingomatic.io does not use cookies. We use PostHog analytics in cookieless mode, which means:

No cookies are stored on your device.
No data is saved in your browser's local storage or session storage.
Each visit is treated as independent — we cannot track you across sessions.

This cookieless analytics collects only aggregated, anonymous data such as page views, referral sources, device type, and country. No personal information is collected or stored.

2. Lingomatic App (app.lingomatic.io)

When you use the Lingomatic app inside Shopify Admin, the following cookies may be set:

Session cookies — Shopify App Bridge uses session-based authentication to keep you signed in while using the app. These are essential for the app to function.
Analytics cookies — We use PostHog to understand how merchants use the app, which features are popular, and where users encounter issues. This helps us improve the product.

3. What PostHog Collects (In-App)

PostHog analytics in the Lingomatic app collects:

Page views and navigation patterns within the app.
Feature usage (e.g. which content types you translate most).
Device type, browser, and screen size.
Your Shopify store domain (to attribute usage to your account).

PostHog does not collect your store content, translations, payment information, or any personal data beyond your store domain.

4. Data Processing Location

All analytics data is processed and stored in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany) via PostHog EU Cloud. No analytics data is transferred outside the EU.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Lingomatic does not use any third-party advertising, remarketing, or social media tracking cookies on either the landing page or the app.

6. Managing Cookies

Since our landing page is fully cookieless, there is nothing to manage for website visitors. For the Lingomatic app, you can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential session cookies may prevent the app from functioning correctly.
